Hi! My name is Katrina and I am currently a video game journalist for Indie Game Mag. I’m also secretly working on a paper that investigates the educational value of digital games, especially in relation to Japanese Second Language Learning and Acquisition. Languages fascinate me. If you’ve ever heard someone say that learning a new language allows you to see through new eyes-it’s definitely true.
This particular blog you’ve stumbled upon is primarily dedicated to game reviews, battles, and analyses, but I may go off on a linguistic tangent from time to time, so bear with me! To read my crazy ramblings on various games, just click whatever screams ‘read me!’ under the recent posts menu.
In the future, I hope to make my own games that teach people something. A really good site for making your own games is sploder, which is what I used to make a game called “Nihongo no tesuto” or My Japanese Test. Click here to give it a go-I hope you learn something from it!
Last but not least, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!
P.S. Yes, I stole Alex from Tomb Raider’s shirt.
